Timberline Bank is set to officially break ground on its new location next week at 649 Market St.

The new bank will be across the street from its current home.

"The expansion is two or three times the size of our current building," Business Banking Specialist Gabe Taets said. "We've run out of space for everybody."

The groundbreaking ceremony will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The new building should be complete in the summer of 2020.

Timberline Bank is headquartered in Grand Junction. The current branch at 633 24 Road is the lone location in the city. The bank also has branches in Montrose and Aspen.

The event is regional from Durango to Steamboat Springs and is structured so that communities across the Western Slope can engage and come together.

The Techstars Startup Week is a free, multi-day meeting of entrepreneurial minds and a celebration of the West Slope way of doing business.

As attendees make their way to Grand Junction, keynote speaker Brad Feld will speak June 6 on building startup communities beyond the Front Range with lessons learned from the past decade of community building and advice for a changing landscape.

Feld has been a leader in the investment and entrepreneurial field for more than 30 years.

The goal of the week is for community leaders to build momentum and opportunity while celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit. The event is open to all, but organizers are asking attendees to register to help provide an accurate count for logistics and planning.

■ Dalby, Wendland & Co. has announced the election of Christopher West as the firm's chief executive officer, effective July 1.

Dalby Wendland is a financial advisement firm with offices in Grand Junction, Glenwood Springs and Montrose. The Grand Junction location is at 464 Main St.

As CEO, West will focus on leadership vision and growth strategies. He is a Colorado native and started with the company in 1996 after graduating from Colorado Mesa University. He is a licensed certified public accountant.
