Grand Junction's Discount Cabinet Warehouse has moved into a bigger space in a new location.

Owners Tom and Andrew Kucel moved the business to 1040 Ute Ave. during the first week of July. It was previously at 2495 Industrial Road for nearly eight years. The Ute Avenue location was previously the Salvation Army building, Tom Kucel said.

"Our business is growing," he said. "We only had 3,000 square feet before. Now we have 7,000 on the main level and 7,000 in storage. And it's packed."

The cabinet company works with four different manufacturers and offers free estimates, help with design, contractor referrals and trade-in options for old cabinets.

The store has five employees and serves western Colorado from Steamboat Springs to Durango.

Tom Kucel said he bought the new building on Feb. 28 and spent time remodeling the inside and painting the outside. The previous location was sold to DT Swiss to allow that company to expand.

Discount Cabinet Warehouse's showroom is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Evenings are available by appointment. For more information, search for Discount Cabinet Warehouse on Facebook or visit gjcabinets.com.
