Road closures and maintenance projects may affect traffic this week:
City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
■ Riverfront Trail Closure, Las Colonias Park: The bike/pedestrian Trail is closed from the intersection of 27½ and C½ roads to the Old Mill Bridge, leading to Eagle Rim Park. Bridge access will remain open by way of a well-marked detour. Anticipated completion is July.
■ Street Striping and Pavement Marking: Weather permitting, crews this week will stripe, 26 Road/1st Street from H Road to Grand Avenue and 26½ Road/7th Street from I Road to Patterson Road. Avoid crossing wet paint. Expect short delays.
■ 2019 Asphalt Overlay: Weather permitting, this week's activities include asphalt paving at South Camp Road from South Broadway to Rim Rock Road. Delays can be expected.
■ Seventh Street Reconstruction, Orchard Avenue to Patterson Road: Construction will begin this week on the eastern half of Seventh Street. Walnut and Bookcliff Avenues will remain closed on the east side of Seventh Street. Expect lane shifts, closures and delays. Business and resident access will be provided. Alternate route advised.
■ 2019 Street Chip Seal Program: The heavily traveled streets affected by this week's activities include 30 Road from C½ Road to D Road on Monday, 30 Road from D Road to E Road on Thursday and E Road from 30 Road to just west of McMullin Drive on Thursday.
■ Monument Road Trail Project work will close Redlands Road at Monument Road Monday and Tuesday. Redlands Road access will be off of D Road and Rosevale Road. A well-marked detour will be in place.
Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
■ 32 Road Sewer Line Replacement, Clifton Sanitation District: Watch for utility construction at various locations on 32 Road from Interstate 70 Business Loop to D Road. Watch for traffic control signs and personnel. Motorists may experience intermittent lane closures and detours. Anticipated completion is September.
■ Vista Grande Drive (Redlands) Water Line Upgrade, Ute Water: Vista Grande will be closed to through traffic from 8 a.m.– 5 p.m., Monday–Friday, from E Road to Colorado Highway 340. Detour route will be in place. Access will be provided for local residents. Anticipated completion is July.
■ 29½ Road north of F½ Road Water Line Replacement, Ute Water: Expect alternating one-lane traffic and moderate delays. Resident access will be maintained. Anticipated completion is June.
■ 27 3/8 Road Utility Work, Orchard Mesa Middle School: 27 3/8 Road will be closed to through traffic starting Monday. Detour route will be in place. Resident access will be provided.
■ Orchard Avenue Reconstruction from Normandy Drive to 29 Road, Mesa County: Orchard Avenue will be closed to thru traffic 24/7. A detour route will be in place. Access will be maintained for local residents at all times. Anticipated completion is November.
