Mavericks' Hayden, Koehler make All-American teams
After a season in which they won the first playoff game in program history, the Colorado Mesa women's lacrosse team made more history Tuesday.
Senior midfielder Olivia Hayden and senior defender Erin Koehler both were selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association All-America teams.
Hayden, who set the CMU record for goals in a season with 62, was a first-team selection. Hayden was a force all over the field, finish in the top five in Division II in draw controls, ground balls and caused turnovers.
Koehler, who was the RMAC defender of the year, made the second team and was second to Hayden in ground balls and caused turnovers.
