Grand Junction dropped the final game of its four-game home series against Great Falls 7-3 at Suplizio Field on Saturday night.
Julio Carreras got things started for the Rockies (14-13) with a sacrifice fly to left field to score Eddy Diaz in the first inning.
Sam Abbott tied the game in the top of the second with a solo home run, but Grand Junction took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the inning on another sacrifice fly, with Yolki Pena's fly ball to left scoring Max George, who led off with a base hit.
In the top of the third, Harvin Mendoza hit an RBI double to tie the game at 2-2, and two innings later, the Voyagers (11-14) took the lead for good.
Against Rockies starter Mitchell Kilkenny, Luis Curbelo lined a two-run home run to left for a 4-2 lead in the top of the fifth inning, ending Kilkenny's night.
The Rockies responded in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI single by Pena to score Jack Yalowitz, cutting the lead to 4-3.
Great Falls scored three runs in the eighth inning to stretch the lead, with an RBI single by Luis Mieses and an RBI double by Anderson Comas adding insurance for the Voyagers.
Diaz and George led the Rockies with two hits each and Pena drove in two runs.
Kilkenny (1-1) took his first career loss in his sixth start.
The Rockies stranded 19 runners on base and went only 1 for 11 with runners in scoring position. All seven of Grand Junction's hits were singles.
Grand Junction opens a four-game series today against Billings at Suplizio.
