Nick Ciccio, who earlier this month was nominated for the Cliff Harris Award as the top small-college defensive player in the nation, on Monday became one of 34 finalists in Division II for the honor.
The award includes players from Division II and Division II in the NCAA as well as NAIA players, with the winner announced Dec. 27.
Ciccio last week made the National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter’s all-state team, which includes all college teams in the state, regardless of division.
